Luxury Condominium | San Francisco

In a narrow service alley, a custom egress gate equipped with Ninja Deterrent™ Gothic Dual reinforces perimeter security while preserving the refined character of a high-end residence.

The robust stainless frame combined with the Ninja Deterrent™ makes the passage both secure and elegant.

Context & Design Brief

The project site is a downtown block with a service corridor hidden between tall buildings. Because this low-visibility area posed a security weakness, the client required stronger climb-over prevention and reliable day-and-night deterrence. Our solution was to integrate Ninja Deterrent™ anti-climb spikes with a rigid stainless frame and mesh infill, creating a discreet but highly effective defensive line.

Material & Finish

The frame and gate members are fabricated from stainless steel with a brushed finish for durability and architectural harmony. The Ninja Deterrent™ spike rail aligns perfectly with the gate head, appearing as a crisp design line while ensuring uncompromising protection.

Security Integration

The mesh infill keeps visibility, reducing concealment while eliminating climbing footholds. Combined with Ninja Deterrent™ spikes and a clear security notice, the gate provides both physical and psychological deterrence.

Design Fit — Keep the Heritage, Block the Climb

matte black, low-profile crown so the deterrent disappears into the coping line from afar,
yet clearly signals “do not climb” at close range.
