Each length has 2 predrilled oval slots at each end for easy attachment in a variety of different configurations. We recommend using stainless steel fasteners to secure each section with 2 fasteners. Any qualified contractor or even a good handyman should have no problem installing these beautiful expertly crafted Japanese security/fence spikes. What is SHINOBI GAESHI?
In Japan, security spikes are called "Shinobi Gaeshi 忍び返し", which means literally “Ninja Deterrent™” in Japanese. The origin of "Shinobi Gaeshi" dates back to the era of Ninjas ”忍”. These spikes were used to prevent Ninjas from entering buildings and attacking the occupants.
More recently, Shinobi Gaeshi are used to secure homes and facilities from unwanted intruders particularly in the high-end home market. Additionally, they also have been installed as barriers to prevent animals from entering properties and from birds from perching on screen walls or security fences.
