A Privacy Fence with a Custom Detail
This street-facing perimeter on a multi-unit residence pairs weathered gray wood-look slats with slim brass accent strips — a warm, custom touch against the building's stucco facade. The owner wanted the fence and its matching pedestrian gate to stay decorative while closing off an easy climb from the sidewalk.
A row of anti-climb spikes runs along the top of the steel frame, over both the fixed panels and the gate. From the street the dark spikes read as a fine crest against the frame; up close they remove any grip along the otherwise smooth top edge.
