Continuous anti-climb spike installation on a perimeter wall near W Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, Los Angeles, maintaining a clean architectural look while securing the property.

Anti-climb spear-top security finials installed on a steel fence in North Hollywood, addressing rising burglary and smash-and-grab concerns in the area.
In North Hollywood, with burglaries and "smash and grab" incidents on the rise, perimeter security ultimately boils down to a simple question:
"Can someone quickly get a grip on the fence or gate and climb over in seconds?"
This project focused on eliminating that "first move." The top edge of the steel fence and gate were reinforced with continuous line of defense. The aim was clear: to increase the risk, and difficulty for any attempt of intrusion – all the while maintaining the property's clean, modern aesthetic.
Continuous installation of our Gothic Series along the top of the fence was incorporated. Designed to eliminate any weak points and deter quick climbing.
Even if a steel fence is sturdy, the top edge can become an easy entry point, if it provides:
In high-risk areas, intruders likely tend to prefer quiet and fast routes over destruction. That's why it's most important to eliminate any weak point on the top of the fence or gate in the perimeter.
Instead of treating the fence and gate as separate entities, the entire perimeter was designed as a single security system. The topline was reinforced with Gothic (Black) anti-climb deterrent, creating a seamless "no-grip zone" from fence to gate. This deters quick climbing while visually integrating with the modern exterior.
Key Design Points:
1. Continuous Installation (No Starting Point): Short sections or gaps can create weak spots. Running it continuously addresses this issue. 2. Gate Integration (Same Strategy, Same Look): Gates are often easily targeted. Aligning the top of the gate with the same line of defense ensures consistency in both deterrence and design. 3. Black Finish to Match the Architecture: Black profiles complement modern elements such as exterior frames, lighting, and hardware. From a distance, it reads as a clean shadow line; up close, it conveys "unclimbable."
The top of the steel gate was also reinforced to prevent quick entry attempts, integrated into the existing modern design.
The finished perimeter maintains a clean aesthetic while eliminating the elements intruders rely on:
The reason upgrades like this are effective is simple: They increase what intruders dislike most.
If your property has:
… then reinforcing the topline will be a highly effective perimeter improvement.
