Wall | Hollywood | Los Angeles
Continuous anti-climb spike installation on a perimeter wall near W Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, Los Angeles, maintaining a clean architectural look while securing the property.

“The clean, seaside look is maintained, and it's immediately obvious that there's nowhere to grab. Exactly what we wanted.”
At Lancaster Terrace in Jacksonville, we installed Gothic (Black) continuously along the stucco boundary wall. From the street, it appears as a thin shadow line running along the top of the wall. Upon closer inspection, it becomes clear that all handholds, footholds, and snag points have been effectively eliminated. This installation aims to enhance perimeter security without compromising the aesthetics.
Up close, the Gothic profile reveals itself as a precise row of black points, yet from any normal viewing distance it reads as little more than a fine, intentional edge along the wall. The matte black finish sits quietly against the concrete and stucco, harmonizing with the building's clean modern lines rather than competing with them. It is security that respects the architecture — present and effective, but never the first thing the eye lands on.
Seen from above, the installation barely registers as hardware at all — just a slim, low-rise band tracing the top of the boundary wall. Against the backdrop of the surrounding high-rise towers, that restraint is exactly what keeps the property feeling open and upscale rather than fortified. The low profile lets the spikes blend in as a subtle shadow line, doing their job without ever drawing attention to themselves.
The Gothic line runs without interruption along the full span of the wall, leaving no break that a climber could exploit as a foothold. A single gap is all it takes to compromise a perimeter, so the continuous, unbroken design deliberately removes every potential "starting point" for climbing. The result is a boundary that stays consistently difficult to scale from end to end — not just in the obvious places.
Corners and transitions are where anti-climb measures most often fail, so each return was carried cleanly around the angle with no exposed gap or weak junction. The spikes are held down with stainless steel, tamper-resistant hardware and finished with a waterproofing sealer chosen specifically for the salt air of a coastal Florida site. Together, the seamless corner work and corrosion-ready fastening keep the system both secure and durable for the long term.
