Continuous anti-climb spike installation on a perimeter wall near W Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, Los Angeles, maintaining a clean architectural look while securing the property.

Anti-climb security spikes installed at a modern apartment in Washington, D.C., blending seamlessly with the contemporary architectural style.
Located in a quiet area just outside of downtown Washington, D.C., this modern apartment building presented a unique perimeter security challenge. The owner requested an enhancement of the property's security without compromising its design aesthetic, focusing on eliminating potential "entry points."
The target areas were the 3m high wooden entrance gate, the adjacent concrete sections, and the steel screen fence surrounding the staircase. As a solution that harmonized with the textures and linear composition of each element, we proposed and installed Gothic Black Dual Blade along the top edges.
The Gothic Black Dual Blade possesses a clear function as an anti-climb deterrent, without appearing overtly "aggressive." The sharp tension of the pointed tips is combined with a heart-patterned design, preventing the space from feeling too rigid and retaining a quiet softness.
Potential "handholds" and "footholds" for intruders are meticulously eliminated with a Gothic-inspired rhythm. As a result, it provides a "calm strength" to the entire exterior, integrating as an architectural detail rather than an added security feature.

The **steel screen** around the staircase is also reinforced without compromising the landscape

Gothic continues the "precise rhythm" created by the exposed steel and concrete surfaces like a slender crown. Barely noticeable from the sidewalk—but its purpose becomes immediately clear upon closer inspection. This is a design for a "complete boundary" rather than "security on display." There is nowhere left to grab. It completes the safe boundary without sacrificing aesthetics.
"It's not noticeable from the sidewalk, but there's nowhere left to grab. The safe boundary is complete without sacrificing aesthetics."
In this case study, the Gothic Black Dual Blade was continuously applied to the tops of a combination of different materials—wood x modern concrete x steel screen—to deter intrusion risks without compromising the exterior's appearance. This project serves as a benchmark for those seeking a simple yet Gothic-inspired security finish.
